Beyond the Surface.
Jaeyi Choi is the founder, creator, and artist behind CASA OF J — an independent creative house where hand-drawn illustration, storytelling, philosophy, and design come together to create immersive worlds that invite reflection, imagination, and meaningful human connection.
Born in Korea and raised in Australia, Jaeyi later completed a Master’s degree in Footwear Design in the United Kingdom, where she also gained experience teaching design.
Her diverse experiences shaped her belief that creativity extends far beyond aesthetics. To her, creativity is a way of understanding people, exploring ideas, and expressing what words alone often cannot.
Over time, her curiosity expanded beyond design into philosophy, human behaviour, and the emotional narratives that shape who we are. These influences gradually came together to form CASA OF J — a creative universe where art is not simply something to admire, but something to experience, inviting reflection, inspiring curiosity, and encouraging personal discovery.
Every world within CASA OF J is drawn entirely by hand. Rather than creating individual illustrations, Jaeyi designs immersive worlds where every colour, symbol, and intricate detail is placed with intention. Here, maximalism is never about excess; it is an invitation to slow down, look closer, and discover something new with every encounter.
The name CASA, meaning home, reflects the heart of her vision. She imagines CASA OF J as more than a destination for art — it is a quiet sanctuary woven into everyday life. A place where people can pause, reconnect with themselves, and create space for reflection amidst the rhythm of the modern world.
Jaeyi believes that no one remains the same. We are continually shaped by memory, emotion, curiosity, and choice. Every experience leaves a trace, and every story opens the possibility of another. The true journey begins the moment someone steps into one of her worlds and allows their own imagination to continue the story.

Some stories are discovered twice. The second discovery begins with a Repepe.
Some stories are carried through words. Others quietly appear in the smallest places. The Repepes belong to the latter.
They first appear within the worlds of the women, never asking to be noticed, yet quietly becoming part of the story. What begins as a small discovery soon unfolds into a world of its own, where another side of the same journey begins to reveal itself.
